My 90+ yr old father-in-law and my two brothers-in -law went to a Bible Conference recently. It is held at a children’s camp in the northern Midwest. This was a family conference. That means children were in attendance as well as adults. There was fellowship and teaching and a lot of singing. There were few to no masks. Many of the adults were unvaccinated Although not specifically invited, Delta also attended.

My father -in-law has a breakthrough infection. My Brothers-in law have tested positive as have the majority of the attendees. I do not know the number of hospitalized. Odds are there will be hospitalizations. Odds are some may die. Odds are one of them may be a child. Delta doesn’t mess around.

I simply do not understand why the outcome has come as a shock to the conference goers. Delta isn’t a respecter of persons. Pretending it doesn’t exist does not make it go away. Delta is a virus. It is a deadly virus . Being afraid of something that can kill you is not sin. Purposely putting your children in harm’s way is.
