Mandate

We already have vaccine mandates in our nation. The military gets more vaccines than the general public. Schoolchildren need vaccines to go to school. There are vaccines needed for my work. I fail to understand why the covid vaccine is any different. There are those who are calling for a civil war over a mandate to keep them alive. They want to kill others for for the right to spread illness and death. They are “fighting for freedom”. If the antivax-anti mask people were only endangering themselves, I might be able to see the “personal freedom” aspect. They are not. Calling for violence to protect their right to endanger the rest of us is not “democracy in action” Your right to be suicidal ends when you kill others on your way out. It isn’t “communism” ( a political system) ,nor is it socialism (an economic system) to mandate vaccines in the public sector and encourage mandates in the private sector. It is free enterprise. You opt out of vaccinating. My organization opts in. You are free from vaccinating and I am free from employing you. Health and safety is economically more viable over ignorance and tantrums.

Personal choice.

Will mandates help? I hope so. I am tired of being held hostage by ignorant children stomping their feet and throwing hissy-fits while calling for the demise of our republic.

Grow up and get the damn shot already. It won’t kill you to put others first for a change. It is the American thing to do.
