Hoax

I started to post on a non covid topic. Obviously I have change tracks.

I, as have the rest of the world, been watching the emergence of the Omnicron varient. I have the same feeling of concern, but not panic I felt January 2020. It is the same feeling I had last July when Delta took off. That wasn’t meant to be reassuring by the way.

A paper in South Africa came out today saying omnicron is evading natural immunity which isn’t good. I extrapolate that to meaning it will evade vacines as well. That’s the bad news. The good news thus far cases seem to be mild in adults. The bad news is it seems to hit very young children much harder than previous incantations. I believe (but have absolutely no confirming data) that vaccines will protect against severe disease, but won’t keep us from infection.

It is also known mild disease still results in post covid syndrome. Using the UK’s data from a month or two ago there are 250,000 thousand confirmed post covid syndrome patients in the UK. We here in the US are not as good about collecting let alone colating our covid data. ( You can’t just blame the former guy for that. Our nation hasn’t prioritised proactive anything in decades ) As of today ,the United Kindom has 10,228,772 positive cases and 144,969 deaths. This is roughly 1 out of every 40 positive cases convert to long covid. Here in the US the WHO reports In United States of Americ there have been 48,413,265 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 778,336 deaths. Please keep in mind that we under report our confirmed cases by as much as 60% based on a study out in July of this year. As stated above, we are abysmal with maintaining current and accurate data. This means that in addition to having lost close to 800,000 lives we have 1.2 million people in this nation with long covid.

So my question, concern, fear is this: even if omnicron is significantly less lethal, will the same ratio of positive cases convert to long covid and subsequent long term health and cognitive issues?

If Omnicron turns out to be as lethal or worse, what will happen then?

In a nation that values productivity and monetary gain over human life, what will the out come be? It isn’t as if we have a safety net or anything.

On the other hand, it might just be a hoax to help the Democrates win in the midterms. JFK Jr is coming back from the dead any day now to save us from the the evil child molesting ,canabalistic cabal. All the death and suffering of the past two years have been a hoax.

I’ll tell that to all the families who have lost loved ones. I’ll tell it to myself the next time my heart rate gets over 130.

It is all a hoax. Nothing to see here, it’s just a plot to have our testicles swell and implant nano chips into our magnatized bodies. Damn liberals.
